To acquire basic knowledge about translation work and deepen the understanding about what translation is.

授業の概要

A course for students who are interested in (written) translation work. What is required for translation work will be explained form various perspectives? The basic process， important points to be kept in mind and the differences with oral interpretation will be explained by using authentic materials. Real translation exercise， from English to Japanese， will be used to get students experienced in understanding the process.

• Lecture， translation practice and discussions

準備学習

• There will be some translation home work after each class. Please do it and bring it to the next class for discussion.
