授業の目的、または到達目標
This course teaches students the basic principles of curriculum design: how to assess learner needs, how to organize material from a syllabus into a sequence of lessons, and how to integrate assessment and evaluation into the curriculum.
授業の概要
The students will read about the basic principles of curriculum design. They will discuss various issues and challenges that typically arise when designing a curriculum for a given set of learners. They will evaluate a variety of English teaching textbooks and lesson plans; They will write a final project in which they demonstrate active knowledge of these issues and principles.

- In-class lectures; small-group discussion; brief readings; written projects; class presentations
準備学習
- Students will be expected to prepare reading homework and to work on their final projects outside of class; they will be asked to collect data through interviews and observations, and to prepare an oral presentation with their group members.
