Course Description
Students learn multicultural education in the context of globalization. The course first explores the meaning of globalization and various aspects and debates concerning culture, particularly the problems of cultural essentialism which penetrates the debates. Then, by linking the concepts of international and intercultural understandings, students attempt to consider multicultural education, which is the most promising area in guiding a multicultural society, but do so within their own context.
