The goal of the class is to increase understanding and the ability to use vocabulary for academic purposes. Students should learn a significant number of words， word forms， and strategies for vocabulary study.

授業の概要

Students are required to thoughtfully study and use the words in ways which will encourage them to increase their understanding and retention. To do this， vocabulary needs to be learned and taught in context using a variety of exercises and activities together with regular quizzes.

• Lectures， individual/pair/group work， vocabulary exercise and activities

• One hour of homework is required for each hour spent in class

成績評価方法・基準

Requisites and Standards of Registration. It is recommended that students use the results of the WebCT vocahulary assessment test to determine which level course is appropriate for them.
